CRISTEL: Modernizing field order taking in a demanding sales environment
Discover how SCJ supported CRISTEL in implementing a tablet-based order-taking application for its field sales force.
CRISTEL, 200 years of French excellence serving healthy and innovative cooking.
CRISTEL has established itself as a leading reference in the manufacture of high-end stainless steel cookware.
Based in the Doubs region of France, the company has been perpetuating its historic expertise for nearly 200 years, building its reputation on the quality of its products and its constant ability to innovate.
Among the key milestones in its history was the invention of a new concept: “Cook & Serve” — pots and pans equipped with removable handles that can go directly from the stovetop to the table, combining practicality and elegance.
Continuing this drive for innovation, CRISTEL reached another milestone in the early 1990s by creating the first range of stainless steel cookware compatible with all types of cooking surfaces, including induction.
In less than a decade, CRISTEL became a leader in the French market and began expanding internationally, with Japan as its first international market, thereby establishing its expertise beyond France’s borders.
The company also stands out for its responsible positioning: its choice of stainless steel, a durable and healthy material that makes it possible to offer products free from controversial substances, meeting growing demand for health, transparency and sustainability.
Its four main all-stainless-steel collections are certified “Origine France Garantie,” a guarantee of quality and local manufacturing.
Since 2009, the company has held the “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” label, an official recognition of its exceptional expertise and craftsmanship.
A purpose-driven company since 2021, CRISTEL places local production, environmental responsibility and employee well-being at the heart of its strategy, while maintaining an international presence in more than 50 countries.
By combining tradition, innovation and commitment, CRISTEL continues to showcase French excellence in the world of high-end cookware.

The challenges: modernizing order taking while managing sales complexity
CRISTEL had historically relied on an in-house order-taking tool that no longer met the company’s growing needs.
Beyond modernizing its B2B order management, the challenge was more strategic: the solution had to enable sales representatives to manage a particularly complex sales environment, with multiple promotions and highly advanced pricing and commercial conditions, in order to effectively meet their customers’ needs.
Sales representatives therefore needed a digital tool capable of providing them with all the necessary, up-to-date information, so they could support each customer with precision and efficiency.
This was compounded by a key structural factor: the transition of their customized ERP to a new service provider. This transition required close coordination between CRISTEL’s teams, the ERP provider and SCJ, in order to ensure data flow consistency and business continuity.
Solution: Quickorder Pad, a tablet-based order-taking application designed to increase speed and accuracy in the field.
To address these challenges, CRISTEL chose Quickorder Pad, a mobile SFA (Sales Force Automation) application for taking orders on tablets. It provides sales representatives with an ergonomic, powerful tool that is perfectly adapted to their day-to-day business needs.
Order taking adapted to sales complexity
Quickorder made it possible to integrate all of CRISTEL’s commercial rules:
- Management of promotions, volume discounts, quantity-based discounts, tiered pricing, etc.
- Automatic application of commercial and pricing conditions specific to each customer.
- Fast and reliable order entry based on constantly updated data.
Thanks to this solution, sales representatives can focus on customer relationships, advice and selling, while relying on accurate, up-to-date data at every customer meeting.
A solution fully integrated with CRISTEL’s ERP
Quickorder Pad interfaces with CRISTEL’s ERP to ensure smooth and reliable data flows: orders are automatically sent back to the ERP, commercial rules are applied, and product and customer information remains constantly up to date.
This integration ensures unified and consistent management of operations, while adapting to the specific characteristics of the existing system. It also facilitated collaboration between CRISTEL’s teams, the ERP provider and SCJ throughout the project.
The Quickorder Pad dashboard, a driver of sales performance
Among the key features deployed, the Quickorder Pad dashboard plays an essential role. More than just an order-entry tool, it acts as a genuine strategic dashboard, helping sales representatives turn every customer meeting into a sales opportunity:
- Ultra-fast order taking: sales representatives can immediately access order history and recreate the customer’s basket in just a few seconds — a significant time-saver in the field.
- Precise analysis of purchasing habits: with complete visibility into order volumes, purchasing frequency, recurring items, etc., sales representatives can easily identify opportunities, anticipate each customer’s needs and offer the right product at the right time.
- Intelligent sales management: sales representatives have a clear view of their customers’ activity (by week, month, quarter or year), enabling them to quickly identify changes in activity and adjust their recommendations during customer meetings.

Statistics for precise monitoring of B2B sales activity
Quickorder Pad includes a comprehensive statistics module, providing a clear and up-to-date view of sales and commercial performance by product and by customer over different periods.
The module also includes indicators dedicated to monitoring sales representatives’ activity: number of meetings, customers not visited, completed or pending orders, etc.
This data gives managers a comprehensive view of field activity, enabling them to identify performance drivers, better support their teams and steer sales initiatives more effectively.
With Quickorder Pad, CRISTEL has modernized its order-taking process, simplified its sales management and equipped its sales force with a powerful, accurate and easy-to-use tool.
